SUMMARY: The Department of Community Development and Public Works & Utilities has selected
BERK Consulting to assist staff with the 2016 Comprehensive Plan Update. The Consultant's main
focus will be Environmental Review and updating the Transportation, Utilities and Capital Facilities
Plan Element Technical Appendices for this periodic update to the Comprehensive Plan.
This consultant was selected following an extensive process. The request for proposals was issued
on April 8, 2015 and was listed for 21 consecutive days in the Daily Journal of Commerce. The City
received finro (2) proposals and interviewed those teams. The selection committee consisted of Chal
Martin— PWB�U, Milenka Hawkins-Bates—PWBU, Paul Wandling— PW&U, Andrea Spencer—DCD,
and Allison Satter- DCD

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Total contract amount not to exceed $125,000.
Department of Communiry Development Professional Services budget is$51,263 and Public Works
& Utilities will provide a budget of$73,737 from the Streets Fund.
