HomeMy WebLinkAbout04/15/2015 6E (a)E AGENDA BILL CITY OF BREMERTON CITY COUNCIL SUBJECT: Lease of a Ricoh MPC 6502 Study Session Date: April 8, 2015 Copier for the Parks and Recreation COUNCIL MEETING Date: April 15, 2015 Department Department: Parks and Recreation Presenter: Jeff Elevado Phone: 473-5428 SUMMARY: The Parks and Recreation Department's current lease agreement for a Ricoh MPC 6501 color copier/printer will expire on April 12, 2015 and continues on a month-to-month basis if no action is taken. The current copier has experienced increasing downtime due to failure of critical parts as a result of the unit's age. Replacing this unit with a Ricoh MPC 6502 color copier/printer will reduce downtime, provide faster output and improved image quality. The U.S. Communities contract provides the most favorable pricing for a 60 month lease and has a reduced meter charge for black and white images compared to the current lease. Information Services staff has been consulted on the lease and concurs. ATTACHMENTS: 1) U.S. Communities Master Lease Agreement, 2) U.S. Communities Equipment Sale and Maintenance Agreement, and 3) Order Agreement FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Annual lease payments are included in the adopted 2015 budget and are sufficient to cover the cost of the proposed equipment.
