HomeMy WebLinkAbout04/01/2015 6D AGENDA BILL CITY OF BREMERTON CITY COUNCIL SUBJECT: Award Construction Contract to Study Session Date: March 25, 2015 RV Associates for Washington Avenue COUNCIL MEETING Date: April 1, 2015 Community Boulevard and Establish Project Department: PW& U Budget Presenter: Chal Martin/Tom Knuckey Phone: (360) 473-2376 SUMMARY: The project includes bicycle and pedestrian improvements on Washington Avenue from 5`h Street to the Manette Bridge—this work includes installation of 5-ft wide bike lanes, wider sidewalks, landscaping, street lighting, and associated utility improvements. The project also revises sanitary sewer service for the adjacent homes which will pump into a new sewer main in Washington Avenue. Abandonment of the existing beach sewer will occur between pump station CE4 at the Louis Mentor Boardwalk all the way to the former Chevron Property. Sewer abandonment at the former Chevron Property includes abandonment of pump station CE3 and associated utilities—this work is coordinated with Park improvements to integrate the property into Evergreen-Rotary Park. There were 3 bids. RV Associates was the lowest responsible, responsive bidder in the amount of $2,852,704.84 (which includes sales tax).
