Due to the needs of the department, the half-ton pickup is not a suitable replacement. The department requires a heavy duty vehicle that is versatile and can be used to trailer heavy equipment such as a generator. The total cost of this purchase is $38,799.52, including Washington State sales tax. This purchase will utilize Washington State contract 03813. The authorized dealer is Legacy Ford of Pasco, WA. The replaced vehicle (2004 Chevrolet Colorado)will be removed from the fleet. ATTACHMENTS: 1) Copy of quote from Washington State contract 03813 FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Budgeted within the ER&R Reserve fund at $27,000. The additional expense will be covered by the ER&R Reserve Fund; this expense will be recouped from the sewer operations fund in future years.
