SUMMARY: The two Parkson Influent Screens at the Westside WWTP are in need of critical
mechanical upgrades. These two screens serve to remove debris from the influent wastewater so
that they do not cause damage to equipment downstream of the screens. We have received a quote
from Parkson Corporation to conduct these upgrades at the WWTP in the amount of$132,680
(includes sales tax &freight).

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The Influent Screens Upgrade is budgeted through
the Wastewater Capital Program and has a budget of$100,000. The total cost for the Influent
Screens Upgrade is $150,000, and the budget will be supplemented through the Capital Program.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve the mechanical upgrades to Influent Screen #1 & 2
from the Parkson Corporation in the amount of$132,680, including tax and freight, and authorize the
Mayor to finalize and execute the purchase with substantially the same terms and conditions as
presented.
