Staff have noted through their daily operations and weekly PMs that the centrifuge has gradually lost efficiencies in processing the liquid biosolids. Before the centrifuge has a catastrophic failure due to mechanical inefficiencies, we propose to have it mechanically upgraded back to OEM specifications by the Centrisys Corporation. The cost proposal for the mechanical upgrades to the Centrisys Centrifuge is $67,000 (including tax&freight). ATTACHMENTS: 1) Quotation from Centrisys Corporation. FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The mechanical upgrades to the Centrisys Centrifuge are budgeted through the Capital WWTP & Pump Station Improvement Program as Major Maintenance, and it has a budget of$350,000. The total cost for the mechanical upgrades to the Centrisys Centrifuge is $67,000 (includes tax &freight).
