HomeMy WebLinkAbout02/19/2015 7K AGENDA BILL 1K CITY OF BREMERTON CITY COUNCIL SUBJECT: Amendment to the 2010 Study Session Date: February 11, 2015 Interlocal Agreement with Kitsap Public COUNCIL MEETING Date: February 19, 2015 Utility District Department: Public Works and Utilities Presenter: Kathleen Cahall Phone: 473-2315 SUMMARY: In December 2010, the City of Bremerton entered into an Interlocal Agreement with the Kitsap PUD to have the USGS perform a 5-year countywide hydrogeological study with multiple participants committing to a cost share. The total cost to the larger water systems, including Bremerton, was estimated to be $100,000 each with payments not exceeding $20,000 per year. To date, Bremerton has made $62,000 in payments. For 2015 we are being asked for$22,000 to finalize this successful cooperative project. This totals $84,000 which is less than the original total anticipated due to receipt of a state grant available one year. The amendment modifies the ILA in Section 4 to add: Except that, Participant's share shall not exceed $25,000 for 2015. ATTACHMENTS: 1) Section 4 with revised language in the 2010 ILA FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): This project is currently budgeted in the Water Utility for$20,000. This will increase the impact to the 2015 Water Utility budget by$2,000 which will not significantly impact operations.
