The property is within the work area of the City's Washington Avenue Community Boulevard project; the City's project will precede the redevelopment project. To coordinate construction, the City and the Developer (Mapletree Investments, LLC and Bremerton Towers Development, LLC) have negotiated an agreement where the Developer will construct some improvements that were included within the City's project scope, and the City will construct some of the improvements the Developer is responsible to construct. In general, the City is deferring work the Developer would remove or destroy in their construction, and the City is constructing underground work that would otherwise conflict with the City's project. Work constructed by the City includes Schedule 74 utility undergrounding within the limits of the development. The Developer will reimburse the City for all improvements constructed by the City that are its responsibility.
