SUMMARY: The current Professional Services Agreement with Cross, LaCross & Murphy, PLLC
expires on October 31, 2014. This amendment will extend the current contract, as written, for an
additional 4 years pursuant to an agreement with the City of Bremerton and Cross, LaCross &
Murphy, PLLC. All terms from the original Agreement (including compensation) signed on October
23, 2012 will remain the same.
ATTACHMENTS: Amendment and Original Contract
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): $275,000.00 annually ( $22,916.67 monthly) is
included in the current budget.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve Amendment No. 1 extending the contract with Cross, LaCross & Murphy, LLC for
Public Defense Services; and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with
substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
