SUMMARY: The City currently leases either sites or towers to various communications
organizations. The attached Lease Agreement is from SMSA (A Verizon Wireless Limited
Partnership). The SMSA lease expired in July of 2004 and has been operating on a month-to-month
basis pending approval of a revised lease agreement form by all parties concerned. The new lease will
run for a period of 5 years. The new lease agreement states that SMSA will pay the City $900.00 per
month. (previously paid $681.89 per month). The SMSA tower is multi-purposed and allows for
additional antennas. SMSA will pay the City 50% of any revenues received from co-locations on the
tower.
