SUMMARY: The City will be upgrading Sewage Pump Station CW-1 to reduce combined sewer
overflow (CSO) events in Anderson Cove Basin in order to comply with WAC 173-245. The City
has negotiated a Professional Services Agreement with HDR Engineering to provide engineering
design services for the upgrade project. The not-to-exceed amount ofthe agreement is $112,000.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The project construction is funded by a Public
Works Trust Fund (PWTF) Loan (# 03-691-004) for $475,000. Design is funded by a State
Revolving Fund (SRF) loan (#L0300005) for $300,000. The 2005 project budget for both design and
construction is $675,000. This project and its funding plan are included in the CIP, the most recent
rate study by EES, and are in the ap roved 2005 budget.
