SUMMARY: BMC Chapter 2.50, Section 2.50.032 (a) requires Council confirmation for the
appointment of a Department Director. Council confirmation is requested to hire Catherine Johnson
as Director of Financial Services. Mrs. Johnson's career spans over 35 years with City of Bremerton
as the City's Assistant Treasurer, Finance Officer, and Assistant Director of Financial Services. She
currently serves as the City's Interim Director of Financial Services and has served in this capacity on
three other occasions. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in
Accounting and Finance.
ATTACHMENTS: Resume and Letter of Engagement outlining the negotiated terms of her
promotion to Director of Financial Services.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Position is fully funded in the 2014 budget.
