SUMMARY: An ambulance replacement was budgeted in 2013 but due to constraints on budget
and time to get specifications completed on time we moved the purchase to 2014. This is a
scheduled replacement of a front line ambulance. The cost for the ambulance replacement is
$178,322.01 including Washington State sales tax. The dealer is Braun Northwest out of Chehalis
WA. Staff will be purchasing this ambulance utilizing an approved interocal cooperative purchasing
agreement with Snohomish County Fire District 1 with addendums to their specifications to meet
Bremerton Fire Departments standards.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve the Interlocal Cooperative Purchasing Agreement for
the purchase of one (1) Northstar ambulance per quote and approved specifications from Braun NW,
Inc. in the amount of $178,322.01 including Washington state sales tax and authorize the
amendments to the 2014 budget for carryover of unspent funds from 2013 for this purchase.
