SUMMARY: The Bremerton Municipal Court has an Inter -local agreement with Kitsap County
Administrative Services to provide security for the courthouse at 550 Park Avenue. The Inter -local
agreement is good for 1 year and can be extended for an additional 12 months with written
notification of the City's intent to extend. We have requested to extend the contract for 10 months
this time to make the end date December 31, 2014, for ease of budget purposes. Compensation has
increased to $59,650.00 per year, with uniform and uniform cleaning estimated to be $665.00.
ATTACHMENTS: Inter -local Agreement for Court Security Services (KC089 -09) including
Attachment A listing fiscal impacts.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): $60,315.00 This is an increase of $2,156.00 from
the previous contract. The Municipal Court Budget should be able to absorb this increase without
additional funding for 2014.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the extension of the Inter -local Agreement between the City of Bremerton and
Kitsap County Administrative Services and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the
agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
