The Ueland property had been identified by staff as early as 1992, as being valuable for the City's forest and land management program. A recent appraisal values both properties at $160,000 each. Additionally, the parties would reciprocally grant forest management access (non - public) easements to the subject properties. It is recommended that Council approve the surplus of the City utility property and approve the proposed property exchange and grant of easements.
