SUMMARY: The City Council desires to amend Chapter 7.15 of the Bremerton Municipal Code
regarding the feeding of raccoon and other related amendments. Additionally, Council desires to
approve a contract with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to conduct wildlife damage management
activities to control Raccoons residing in and around the City of Bremerton in order to reduce human
health and safety threats and property damage.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): USDA contract for annual fee of $3,514 to be paid
from non - departmental General Fund.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
1) Move to approve Ordinance No. 5243 amending Chapter 7.15 of the Bremerton Municipal
Code.
2) Move to approved Cooperative Services Agreement with the US Department of Agriculture for
the management of raccoons within the City of Bremerton and authorize the Mayor to finalize
and execute the Agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
