SUMMARY:
The Kitsap County Public Utility District (PUD) and the City of Bremerton have developed fiber optic
technology systems, resources, and facilities capable of being shared with the other for the mutual
benefit of their citizens. Sharing specified fiber optic infrastructure can more effectively utilize
resources which will result in savings. This interlocal agreement sets forth the terms and
conditions for PUD and Bremerton to construct and share fiber optic and information
technology services, equipment, and infrastructure to achieve economies and efficiencies to
perform their respective responsibilities consistent with legal requirements applicable to
municipally owned or operated facilities and infrastructure.
ATTACHMENTS: Interlocal Agreement with Kitsap County Public Utility District
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): No direct costs. Agreement will provide for possible
future cost savings.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve the Interlocal Cooperative Agreement for fiber optic
installation between KPUD and the City of Bremerton and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute
the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as contained in the proposed
Interlocal Agreement.
