HomeMy WebLinkAbout02/16/05 0IIIa DIGITAL RECORDING ~ CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES fEB 2 3 2005 Wednesday, February 16, 2005 The weekly meeting of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order in the City Council Chambers, of the NORM DICKS GOVERNMENT CENTER 345 6th Street, Bremerton, Washington, Wednesday, February 16, 2005, at 5:30 P.M., with Council Vice-President Cecil McConnell presiding. Council members present were Mike Short, Will Maupin, Carol Arends, Mike Shepherd, Wendy Priest, and Cecil McConnell. Council President Daren Nygren was absent; and Council Members Dianne Robinson and Brad Gehring are attending the AWC Legislative Action Conference in Olympia. Also present were City Attorney Roger Lubovich; City Clerk Paula Johnston; and Legislative Assistant Lori Smith. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Council Member Sheoherd; followed by the invocation provided by Pastor Scott Shaw of Bremerton First Church of the Nazarene. Vice-President McConnell made the following announcements: 1. A Pre-Council session was held in Council Conference Room 603 from 5:00 to 5:30 P.M. and 2. Item 6C has been pulled from the agenda, and will be heard at the next meeting on 2/23/05. MAYOR'S REPORT - Due to his attendance at the AWC Legislative Action Conference in Olympia, there was no Mayor's Report tonight. CONSENT AGENDA A. KITSAP COUNTY CONSOLIDATED HOUSING AUTHORITY. AND THE CITY OF BREMERTON REGARDING A CONTINGENT LOAN AGREEMENT {#AB05-035l: Roaer Lubovich, City Attorney, explained that the two agreements are proposed for execution by the City, Kitsap County, and the Kitsap County Consolidated Housing Authority (KCCHA). The first is the Harborside Condominiums Agreement and the second is the Contingent Loan Agreement. There is no second contingent loan agreement between Kitsap County and KCCHA of which the City is not a party. These agreements provide guarantees for financing and development of the condominium project by the Kitsap County Consolidated Housing Authority.
