CITY COUNCIL STUDY SESSION MINUTES JAN 1 5 10 14
Wednesday, January 8, 2014
A Study Session of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order in the Council
Conference Room of the NORM DICKs GOVERNMENT CENTER 345 6t Street, Bremerton,
Washington, Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at 5 00 PM, with Council President Greg Wheeler
presiding Council Members present were Roy Runyon, Dino Davis, Jerry McDonald, Leslie
Daugs, and Mike Sullivan Council Member Eric Younger was absent Lori Smith, Legislative
Assistant, was present to provide staff support
President Wheeler emphasized that the Study Session was open to the public but there would
be no opportunities for input or participation, and announced that approved items by Council will
be placed on the January 15, 2013 Council Meeting Agenda, or as indicated
A NO PRESENTATION PLANNED - The following items are budgeted items or have been
reviewed by the appropriate Council Committee
1 Authorize Police Department to hire Part-Time Employee (Court Security / Home
Detention Specialist) for five (5) weeks (not to exceed 25 -hours per week) Consent
Agenda
2 Approve reassignment of Human Resources Assistant to Human Resources Generalist,
and add position to the 2014 Budget Consent Agenda
3 Upgrade of existing NX100 -0O50 Neuros Turbo Blower at the Wastewater Treatment
Plant Consent Agenda

4 Proposed public hearing to authorize an easement to Puget Sound Energy, and approve
an ordinance to vacate a portion of the Right -of -Way and to dedicate Park Avenue
between Burwell & 4th Streets for the Park Plaza Development Project Public Hearing

5 City Council Orientation — Part I
Including a discussion on the City Council Committee Process, a PowerPoint
Presentation on the "Nuts & Bolts of City Government', and viewing of a video titled
"Public Officials Liability"

With no further business, President Wheeler adjourned the Council Study Session at 7 15 PM
