SUMMARY: The City has an existing Professional Services Agreement with Parametrix, Inc to
provide consulting engineering services for the Washington Avenue Sewer Improvements Project
This contract modification provides for allocating the remaining additional services budget to
be used for engineering support for construction, adds budget for additional construction
survey support, provides project management and administration services that were
originally intended to be provided by in -house staff, and provides a contingency line item of
$20,000 The original not -to- exceed amount of the contract is $512,000 This modification increases
the budget by $86,400 for a new total contract amount of $598,400 The total project budget is
$3,600,000

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount) The project is funded by sewer rates ($3,000,000)
and water rates ($600,000) for a total resultant 2014 construction budget of $3,600,000

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Contract Modification No 01 with Parametrix for the Washington Avenue Sewer
Improvements Project which results in a contract amount of $598,400 00 and authorize the Mayor to
finalize and execute the modification with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented
