SUMMARY The Director of Community Development proposes to fill the vacant Senior Planner
position that was established with the adoption of the 2014 budget with Allison Daniels, a current city
staff member who has worked for DCD since 2007 Allison has a demonstrated track record with the
city with both successful permit review and project management and an exceptional ability to work
with our varied customers The Director has negotiated salary compensation with Ms Daniels and
proposes making this appointment at Rate 5 of Pay Band 11 Pursuant to the promotion provisions
contained in BMC 2 50 032(c)(3) this advancement requires City Council Approval This
appointment is proposed to become effective on January 1, 2014
