SUMMARY: Barracuda Backup is an integrated local and offsite data backup and disaster recovery
solution It is an all- inclusive solution that provides software, storage, replication, and support for
both physical and virtual backups The City of Bremerton's data will be protected on a local
appliance while Barracuda replication technology allows that data to be securely transmitted and
stored within the Barracuda Cloud Storage Service on a remote Barracuda Backup server This
purchase agreement, totaling $41,514 00 is for the purchase of the local Barracuda 690 Backup
Appliance with 5 years of support ( "Instant Replacement" and "Energizer Updates ") service and 5
years of "Unlimited Cloud Storage" service
This system will replace the aging Symantec BackupExec software, Dell Storage Server and
Quantum Tape Library that is our current system

1) Purchase Agreement with Trebron Company, Inc for the purchase of a Barracuda Backup
appliance, 5 years support and 5 years Unlimited Cloud storage service

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount) The total anticipated cost of this project is
$41,514 00 The purchase of the hardware appliance ($9,000 00) is included in the Information
Technology 2014 budget The first year professional support payment in the amount of $10,838 00 is
included in the Information Technology 2014 budget The second and third payments, in the amount
of $10,838 00 each will be budgeted in subsequent years There will be no cost in the fourth and fifth
years of the support agreement

the amount of $41,514 00 and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the Trebron Company
Purchase Agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented
