AN ORDINANCE of the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, Washington amending Chapter 20 16 of the Bremerton
Municipal Code relating to the Shoreline Master Program and
shoreline permits
WHEREAS, the City Council is, concurrently with this ordinance, adopting an
updated Shoreline Master Program which contains a chapter updating language pertaining to
shoreline permits currently contained in Chapter 20 16 of the Bremerton Municipal Code, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend Chapter 20 16 of the Bremerton
Municipal Code to remove duplicative and conflicting language pertaining to shoreline permits
and add language making reference to the updated Shoreline Master Program for these
permitting processes, NOW THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON, WASHINGTON,
DOES HEREBY DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1. Bremerton Municipal Code Section 20 16 is hereby amended to
repeal in its entirety and replace the section with a reference to the Shoreline Master Program
Document as follows

Bremerton Shoreline Master Program which is on file with the City Clerk and may be posted or
linked on the City of Bremerton's website

SECTION 2. SeverabihU If any one or more sections, subsections, or sentence
of this Resolution are held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portion of this Resolution and the same shall remain in full force and
effect, and
SECTION 3. Effective Date This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force ten
(10) days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law
