SUMMARY: The agenda bills following this introductory presentation provide the necessary
instruments to implement the Kitsap Conference Center Expansion project Those necessary
instruments are
1 Interlocal Agreement with the Kitsap Public Facilities District
2 Lease Agreement with Kitsap Transit
3 Contract Award to Jones & Roberts, Inc for the Conference Center construction Contract
4 Award to ThyssenKrupp Elevator Americas for elevator improvements
5 Professional Services Agreement with RiceFergusMdler Architects for construction
administration

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount) This $1 1 million economic development project will
be paid for with $600,000 of grant/outside funding and $500,000 of City funds It will generate
revenue adequate to defray the expenses associated with the City's investment, and will provide a
moderate direct return on investment
