SUMMARY: The City received Puget Sound Regional Council (PSRC) funding for pavement
preservation on Belfair Valley and Lake Flora Roads The project will be an overlay of both
roadways using a fiber reinforcement in the asphalt with minimal roadway repairs The City
advertised the protect on September 16 and received 5 bids on October 7 th The apparent low,
responsive, responsible bidder was Lakeside Industries for $382,918 00 including sales tax

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount) The project is included in the Street Fund, the 2013
budget is $450,000 The project is funded by a $389,250 grant from the PSRC, with a 13 5% City
match of $60,750 from the Street fund No Transportation Benefit District (TBD) funds are used in
this project

Lake Flora Road Preservation Project and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement
with Lakeside Industries, in the amount of $382,918 00 with substantially the same terms and
conditions as presented
