CITY COUNCIL BUDGET WORKSHOP MINUTES OCT 16 1013

The Budget Workshop of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order in the First
Floor Meeting Chambers of the DICKS GOVERNMENT CENTER located at 345 6 th Street, Bremerton,
Washington, Monday, October 7, 2013, at 4 00 PM, with Council President Greg Wheeler
presiding Council members present were Nick Wofford, Eric Younger, Faye Flemister, Adam
Brockus, Leslie Daugs, and Jim McDonald Council Members Wendy Priest and Carol Arends
were absent Also present were Finance Director Becky Hasart and Budget Analyst Caroline
Tompson Legislative Assistant Lori Smith was present to provide staff support to the Council
President Wheeler announced that the 2014 Budget Workshop was for the Council to hear
presentations on the proposed budget It was further announced that this Budget Workshop was
open to the public, but there would be no opportunities for input or participation, that no action will
be taken, and the content of these items is subject to change
Becky Hasart Financial Services Director, opened the 2014 Budget Process, bringing forward
each respective Director to present an over view of their Fund & Department Budgets

4 DCD
5 Municipal Court
6 Auditor
7 Finance Department - Including City Clerk, HR, BKAT, IT, Fire & Police Pension, Non
Departmental, Contingency Reserve, Parking, Conference Center, Gold Mountain, Debt
Service, BEET, and Accumulated Leave & Employment Security
8 Law Enforcement
9 Fire & EMS
10 Parks — Including General Fund and Capital
11 Public Works & Utilities
With no further business, President Wheeler adjourned the Budget Workshop at 6 30 PM
