SUMMARY: Water system planning is essential for the Bremerton Water Utility to meet forecast
increases in water demand The Water System Plan is updated every six years in accordance with
Washington Administration Code 246 -290 It identifies present and future drinking water quality,
water rights, and financial requirements and describes the means to meet those requirements
consistent with federal, state, and local regulations
ATTACHMENTS City of Bremerton 2012 Water System Plan Update, Ordinance and Resolution
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount) The Water System Plan includes anticipated
operation expenses for the Water Utility and a 20 -year Capital Improvement Plan estimated to cost
$85 million
