SUMMARY: With the urban redevelopment of Pacific Avenue, the City has chosen to underground
the private aerial facilities from 6 Street up to 9"' Street, including electrical. The underground
conversion is to be completed in accordance with Puget Sound Energy (PSE) Tariff G, Schedule 74.
Approval of the design phase of the Schedule 74 agreement was approved by City Council April 20,
2011. The design of the conversion has now been completed and accepted by the City and PSE,
and the attached Construction Agreement is now to be approved by City Council.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount). Total estimated cost to the City for completion of the
Schedule 74 with PSE will be approximately $143,206, 86.5% of the total costs are funded by grants.
The 13.5% matching cost to the City is $19,333. The undergrounding will be for commercial
properties only; the property owners are responsible for their costs on their property, which have
been coordinated with them. The project is included in the Arterial Street Budget.
