SUMMARY: Bids were opened for this project on April 2, 2013 and Council previously approved the
execution of a contract with Rognlin's Construction for this project pending the receipt of the
necessary environmental permits At this point the permits have been delayed pending a 30 day
comment period In order to ensure that the contractor can access the beach as early as possible
during the mandated fish window the 3000 feet of 24" diameter high density polyethylene (HDPE)
pipe needs to be purchased as soon as possible Staff is recommending execution of the
construction contract with Rognlin's Construction with phased notice to proceed only being issued for
the pipe purchase pending the issuance of the environmental permits
ATTACHMENTS.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount) This project is included in the 2013 Budget and is
fully funded by wastewater rates The budget amount is $1,250,000
