HomeMy WebLinkAbout05/01/2013 6I AGENDA BILL CITY OF BREMERTON CITY COUNCIL SUBJECT: Service Agreement with Study Session Date April 24, 2013 CenturyLink to provide Telecommunications COUNCIL MEETING Date May 1, 2013 services to listed City facilities and to provide Department Finance Long Distance services Presenter Kevin Matthew Phone 473 -5473 SUMMARY: Staff recommends renewal of the existing service agreements with CenturyLink for Long Distance services and for T1 PRI circuits located at 1025 Burwell (BPD) and to 7268 W Belfair Valley Rd (Golf Course) The current 5 year agreements have expired and are being replaced with more competitively priced agreements The value of this 2 year agreement, excluding Long Distance Services, is $25,200 00 over 2 years Recently expired contracts were at higher rates than is currently being offered reducing the recurring telecommunications costs by $330 00 per month for a total savings of $7,920 00 over the life of this agreement The renegotiated long distance rates are expected to save the City about $100 00 per month for a 2 year savings of $2,400 00 ATTACHMENTS.
