SUMMARY: The proposed redevelopment of Pacific Avenue will provide multiple benefits, including
sustainability through drainage improvements, traffic calming, reduced vehicular speeds, and
implementation of pedestrian corridor improvements as identified in the Non - Motorized
Transportation Plan adopted by City Council in 2007 and the Downtown Regional Center Sub Area
Plan dated December 19, 2007 To improve parking on Pacific Avenue at the Post Office, head -in
angle parking is proposed WAC 308 -330 recommends a resolution by Council approving angle
parking and authorizing temporary street closures as appropriate
