CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES FEB 1 0 1013
Monday, February 4, 2013
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order in the First
Floor Meeting Chambers located in the NORM DICKS GOVERNMENT CENTER, 345 6 1h Street,
Bremerton, Washington, Monday, February 4, 2013, at 5 00 PM, with Council President Greg
Wheeler presiding Council Members present were Nick, Woff ord, Eric Younger, Carol Arends,
Faye Flemister, Adam Brockus, Leslie Daugs, and Jim McDonald Also present were City
Attorney Roger Lubovich, and Legislative Assistant Lori Smith
President Wheeler emphasized that the Special Meeting was open to the public but there
would be no opportunities for input or participation
1 Mayor Patty Lent briefed the Council on the selection of Steven Strachan as Police Chief,
and requested action from the Council at their next regular meeting to confirm his
appointment above Rate 1 February 6 Consent Agenda
2 The following applicants for the District 4 Appointment were interviewed (for approx 10 -15
minutes each), and in the same order that their applications were received

• Wendy Priest
• Dino T Davis
• Michael Goodnow
3 Council recessed for a 20- Minute Executive Session from 6 09 to 6 29 PM to "Evaluate the
Qualifications of Applicants" per RCW 42 30 110 (1)(h) President Wheeler announced that
Council would take action immediately following the Executive Session

Wendy Priest was appointed to the position of Council Member for District 4 in the City of
Bremerton, Washington with current term ending December 31, 2013
President Wheeler announced that Wendy Priest will be sworn -in immediately prior to the
February 6, 2013 Council Meeting, and then be seated for that meeting
With no further business, the City Council Special Meeting was adjourned at 6 35 PM
