SUMMARY: The Bremerton Municipal Code authorizes the Risk Management Specialist, with the
approval of the City Attorney, to bind insurance and then requires City Council approval for
continuation of the bound coverage Excess liability coverage has been bound with Ironshore
Specialty Insurance Company at an annual cost of $148,989 43 (including tax and fee) Excess
workers' compensation insurance has been bound with Safety National Insurance Company for a
deposit premium of $50,064 Crime insurance has been bound with Great American Insurance for
$4,973 per year Excess liability and workers' compensation self - insured retentions have been
increased to $500,000 and excess liability limits have been increased from $5,000,000 to
$10,000,000
