SUMMARY The City of Bremerton is one of 39 cities imposing a business and occupation tax As
such, we have an obligation to insure our model tax ordinance remains up to date The model B &O
tax ordinance is reviewed every four years to insure our provisions remain current with RCW The
attached updates our code accordingly
Also attached with the agenda item is a fact sheet prepared by the Association of Washington Cities
outlining the changes being made to the model B&O ordinance The two mayor changes are related
to "digital goods" and confidentiality of tax returns
