SUMMARY. The bid process was conducted by the State of Washington Department of Enterprise
Services, State Contract #21403, for the purchase of a 400 kW generator set, transfer switch and
accessories Lowest bidder was EC Power Systems in Auburn, Washington

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount) The general fund does have money to be able to
purchase this item However, as it was not part of the originally adopted 2012 budget, it will require a
budget amendment as part of the annual amendment done in December

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the purchase of a 400 kW generator set, transfer switch and accessories from EC
Power Systems in the amount of $72,306 00 plus tax, and authorize the Mayor to finalize and
execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented and further,
move to include this item as part of the 2012 budget amendment
