A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, Washington, renaming Sumac Street to Nathan Adrian
Drive
WHEREAS, during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Bremerton native
Nathan Adrian became an Olympic gold medalist, and
WHEREAS, in honor of all of his accomplishments, the City is proposing to
rename Sumac Street, located in the vicinity of the Glen Jarstad Aquatic Center, to Nathan
Adrian Drive
WHEREAS, City staff has contacted and received approval for the name change
from Kitsap County CenCom officials as well as property owners planning to develop the site,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON, WASHINGTON,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1. Name Chanize Sumac Street is hereby renamed to Nathan Adrian
Drive
SECTION2. Severabdq If anyone or more sections, subsections, or
sentences of this Resolution are held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portion of this Resolution and the same shall remain in full
force and effect
SECTION 3. f f ective Date This Resolution shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon its passage
