TO: Transportation Benefit District
FROM: Tom Knuckey
DATE: April 16, 2012
SUBJECT: Notes from April 11, 2012 Meeting
There was significant discussion on pavement maintenance, need and priontization at the
April 11 th TBD meeting Below are listed the results of the votes cast to help identify the
Districts priorities in identifying projects for construction Staff will take this information and
develop criteria and a project list in the coming months for implementation in 2013
EXPENDITURE ALTERNATIVES:
The following recommendations were recorded
District Maintenance Capital Other
Representative Leverage
A Brockus 60% 30% 10%
R Runyon 80% 20%
E Younger 0-100% 0 —100%
N Wofford 0-100% 0 - 100%
F Flemister 60% 30% 10%
C Arends 70% 20% 10%
L Dau s 85% 15%
J McDonald 0-100% 0 - 100%
G Wheeler 0-100% 0 - 100%
Conclusions
• Most funding should be expended on maintenance
• Staff should look for opportunities to use TBD funds to leverage construction (either
maintenance or capital.) Leverage should only use a large portion of available funding
if the opportunity is particularly compelling
