SUMMARY: To replace a substandard water main servicing the County's Central Kitsap Road Shop,
the County and City have proposed partnering together to complete the work The City would be
responsible for supplying the new main and installation The County would be responsible for
excavating for the main and restoration of the surface once installed The County and City would
share in costs for two borings required with the work, and acquisition of an easement from the United
States of America

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount) The project is funded by the water utilities
substandard main replacement fund Total project cost is estimated at $150,000, with City's share at
approximately $80,000 including the easement acquisition

Approval of the Interlocal Agreement with Kitsap County for construction of a water main in Orange
Drive and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the same
