HomeMy WebLinkAbout05/23/2012 DIGITAL RECORDING WM ARM CITY COUNCIL STUDY SESSION MINUTES JUN 6 2012 May 23, 2012 A Study Session of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order in the City Council Conference Room 603, of the NORM DICKS GOVERNMENT CENTER, 345 6 th Street, Bremerton, Washington, Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at 5 00 PM, with Council President Jim McDonald presiding Council Members present were Eric Younger (arrived at 5 37 PM), Carol Arends, Greg Wheeler, Roy Runyon, and Leslie Daugs Council Members Nick Wofford, Faye Flemister, and Adam Brockus were absent Lori Smith, Legislative Assistant was present to provide staff support President McDonald emphasized that the Study Session was open to the public, however there would be no opportunities for input or participation, that no action will be taken, and the content of these items is subject to change The following Items are budgeted items or have been reviewed by the appropriate Council Committee, and will be placed on the June 6, 2012 Council Meeting Agenda unless otherwise stated A NO PRESENTATION PROVIDED —Only brief questions were asked and /or comments made 1 Interlocal Agreement for Mutual Aid and Establishing a Traffic Safety Task Force — Police Chief Craig Rogers, and Nick Wofford, Public Safety and Parks Committee Chair Consent Agenda 2 Interlocal Agreement with Kitsap County for Water Main Construction in Orange Drive — Gunnar Fridriksson, Managing Engineer, and Adam Brockus, Public Works Committee Chair Consent Agenda 3 Award Contract for Highway Safety Improvement Project — Gunnar Fridriksson, Managing Engineer, and Adam Brockus, Public Works Committee Chair Consent Agenda B FULL DISCUSSION ITEMS 4 Resolution to amend Police Department Rate Table D relating to Chicken Licensing, and Parks & Recreation Department Rate Table F relating to Gold Mountain Golf Course Rates & Fees — Roger Lubovich, City Attorney, Wyn Birkenthal, Parks & Recreation Director, and Nick Wofford, Finance Committee Chair General Business 5 Ordinance to amend Ordinance No 5173 relating the City of Bremerton 2012 Budget (Mid -Year Budget Adjustments) — Becky Hasart, Financial Services Director, and Nick Wofford, Finance Committee Chair General Business 6 Presentation on "Introduction to Utility Rate Setting"— Katy Allen, Public Works & Utilities Director, and the FCS Group Information Only C.
