SUMMARY: In May of 2011 the City completed a 100% grant funded acquisition of a 62 acre
waterfront parcel in Anderson Cove for storm water filtration and recreational access purposes
This resolution authorizes the Parks and Recreation Department to apply to the Recreation and
Conservation Office for $150,000 of Land and Water Conservation funds to improve the property for
neighborhood recreational use Planned improvements include grading, landscaping, irrigation, path,
park furniture and signage The Department of Ecology grant which funded the $331,000 acquisition
of the Anderson Cove property serves as the primary matching source for the park development
grant

Grant Match is provided by the value of the property and volunteer labor
Once completed the project will take $1,500 per year to maintain
