WHBREAS, the annexation of the Daly and. Snyder districts to the
City of Bremerton has added a total of. 4.17 miles of 2nd class
gravel and earth streets to be maintained by the City Street Depart -
ment in addition to the mileage formerly maintained; that the pur-
chase of a new motor patrol grader was necessary to properly service
all streets and avenwe of thes4i classifteations within the corporate
limits of the City, and
MMREAS, the growth of the City has made it necessary to increase
the number of mem in. the City Street Department with an increased
budget for salaries and wages out of funds received from taxes,
THAT, it will be necessary-to receive assistance from some other
source other than taxes in order to purchase said motor patrol
grader;
NOBS, MMWORK, the City Commrisslon of the City of Bremerton hereby -
makes application requesting the State Highway Department for funds
in the amount of Two Thousand Dollars, X2,000.00), to be granted
from the State Gas Tax funds allocated to the City of Bremerton,
to be used on the purchase of this equipment as be re in set out.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Commission, signed by two of the
three City Commissioners, and attested by the City Clerk in authen-
ticatton of such passage, this day of April, 19390
