R E S O L U T I O N
Whereas, the collection and disposal of rubbish,
and vegetable and animal waste materials, is under the
general supervision of the Mayor of the City of Bremerton,
and the department taking care of these matters has been
previously designated-as the "Garbage Department ", and it
is deemed necessary and advisable to change the name of
such department,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission
of the City of Bremerton, that that certain department of city
government previously known as the Garbage Department, shall
be hereafter known as the "Department of Health and Sanitation."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the said "Department
of Health and Sanitation" shall continue to be under the
general supervision of the Mayor of the City of Bremerton,
who shall have power, with the approval of the Commission
as a whole, to appoint such assistants, employees and officers
in said department as he may deem necessary, and to fix their
wages and compensation.
PASSED by the City Commission of the City of
Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Cl erk
in authentication of such passag this : o day of May,1939.
