WHEREAS, the annexation of new districts to the City of Brem-
erton has added a total of 4.17 miles of earth streets to be
maintained by the City Street Department, and whereas it is
necessary to excavate and fill said streets to a considerable
extent to improve them for traffic, and
WHEREAS, the purchase of a new 3/8 yard Power Shovel is necess-
ary in order to properly reconstruct said streets;
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Commission of the City of Bremerton
hereby makes application requesting the State Highway Depart-
ment for funds in the amount of fifty per cent (50%) of the
cost of a new power shovel; to be granted from the State Gas
Tax funds allocated to the City of Bremerton, to be used on the
purchase of this gquipment as herein set out.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Ccamission of the City of
Bremerton, signed by the mayor and attested by the City Clerk
in authentication of such passage this 1st day of July, 1939.
