'NHERW, the improvement of Eighth Street, from Roosevelt Avenue to
Hewitt Avenue, in the City of Bremerton, by paving with one course
concrete pavement, S inches thick, 30 feet in width, together with
any and all other work necessary to make this improvement a complete
job; is a necessary improvement to better traffic conditions, and
VMBFJS, a twenty -six foot pavement would be sufficient for the av-
erage needs of the property owners abutting said street, were it not
for the necessary provisions for future needs,
THAT, it will be necessary to receive assistance from some other
source in addition to the property owners adjacent to this Street,
in order to provide for the additional width in pavement without
making the cost per foot prohibitive,
NOW, TORE, the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, hereby
makes application requesting the State Highway Department for funds
in the amount of Six Hundred Dollars, ($600.00 ), to be granted from
the State Gas Tax funds allocated to the City of Bremerton for con-
struction purposes, to be used on the above named improvement as here-
in set out.
PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by
the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such
passage this 2 2 day of 1959, A. D.
