SUMMARY: Authorizing the sole source purchasing of Flygt dry pit submersible pumps allows the
City to standardize its inventory of parts and special tools that will result in lowers costs, attains
greater durability, which will result in a reduction of labor and maintenance costs, and it will also
achieve a reduction in overtime callouts through the elimination of pump plugging This authorization
will be in effect for a period of five (5) years at which time it will be re- evaluated All Flygt pump
purchases through this sole source resolution are subject to City Council approval as may be
required pursuant to BMC 2 76 100(c)
