CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
February 28, 2012
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order in the Bill
Mahan Conference Room at the Bremerton Port Administration Offices in the terminal building
at the Bremerton National Airport located at 8850 SW State Highway 3, Bremerton,
Washington, Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at 4 50 PM, with Council President Jim McDonald
presiding Council Members present were Eric Younger, Faye Flemister, Greg Wheeler, Roy
Runyon, and Leslie Daugs Council Members Adam Brockus, Carol Arends, and Nick Wofford
were absent
President McDonald emphasized this was a Joint Meeting with Port of Bremerton
Commissioners Roger Zabinski, Larry Stokes, and Axel Strakeljahn, that the meeting was open
to the public, however there would be no opportunities for input or participation, and that no
action will be taken The following items were discussed
1 Status and potential for Airport expansion
2 SKIA update
3 Washington State Department of Corrections proposed site /planning
4 Industrial activity at the Port and expansion plans /progress
5 Bremerton Marina & downtown property
6 Kitsap Harbor Festival update
With no further business, the Council Study Session was adjourned at 6 00 PM
