SUMMARY The Bremerton Municipal Code authorizes the Risk Management Specialist, with the
approval of the City Attorney, to bind insurance and then requires City Council approval for
continuation of the bound coverage Excess liability coverage has been bound with Ironshore
Specialty Insurance Company at an annual cost of $145,075 93 (including tax and fee) Excess
workers' compensation insurance has been bound with Safety National Insurance Company for a
deposit premium of $34,983 Crime insurance has been bound with Great American Insurance for
$4,973 per year
ATTACHMENTS Insurance Order to Bind
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount) Insurance premiums for 2012 were higher than
anticipated, which reduces the available funding balance for claim payments in 2012
