SUBJECT: Ordinance No 517 approving Study Session Date Various
and adopting the 2012 fiscal budget COUNCIL MEETING Date December 7, 2011

SUMMARY: The attached ordinance represents the proposed 2012 Fiscal Budget for consideration
This ordinance reflects the discussions that have occurred during the various budget workshops held
by Council Specific items to highlight are
• An increase to the parking tax from 10% to 15%
• An increase to the utility taxes /PILOT for Wastewater and Stormwater from 15 5% to 20%
• A continuation of the utility taxes /PILOT for Water at 15 5%
• An increase to the water rates of 6%
• Salaries and Wages remain at the same levels as 2011 (no COLAs)
• Staff reductions of145 A FTEs from 2011 levels, and
• A 1 % increase to the property tax/EMS collections
If adopted, fgee would become effective January 1, 2012

approving and adopting the budget for the City of Bremerton for the fiscal year 2012, and approving -
the amounts set forth in each fund in accordance with RCW 35 33 075

Move to approve Ordinance No 5l73 the City Council of the City of Bremerton, Washington,
approving and adopting the budget for the City of Bremerton for the fiscal year 2012, and approving
the amounts set forth in each fund in accordance with RCW 35 33 075
