SUMMARY: As part of the 2012 budget, it is proposed to raise the water rates by 6% This increase
would be a direct revenue stream to the water operations and maintenance fund and could
potentially realize additional revenue of about $473,000
For the average customer, this would equate to about a $102 increase per month (or $12 24 for the
year) Exact bills may vary depending on the customer's water usage
There is no proposed increase in the wastewater or stormwater rates
ATTACHMENTS: Ordinance No 5170. of the City Council of the City of Bremerton, Washington,
amending rates and fees established in Ordinance No 5132 regarding rates and fees relating to the
Department of Public Works and Utilities for water, wastewater, stormwater and other related
services
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount) If approved, the increase to the water revenue for
the water operations and maintenance fund would be approximately $473,000
