SUMMARY: Bids were opened for the WELL 13 & WELL 14 REHABILITATION / REPLACEMENT
project on Tuesday October 18, 2011 A total of 3 bid(s) were received The lowest responsive bid
was from Hokkaido Drilling, Inc, with a bid amount of $111,402 97, including Washington State Sales
Tax The engineer's estimate for this project was $133,800 00 This project involves drilling a new
well at the Well 14 site located at 5853 Central Valley Road and rehabilitating Well 13 located at 50
NE Vena Avenue 0 ,

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount) This project is funded by water rate revenue The
Well 14 replacement is a capital improvements project and is included in the 2011 budget with an
available amount of $175,000 The Well 13 rehabilitation work is estimated to be $25,000 and is
funded through the 2011 Water Resources maintenance budget The total engineer's estimate for
both well sites is $138,800 and funding for this work is available in the approved 2011 budget
